If you like the words free and photography, read this article. There is a great and very popular photo website to handle your digital photos from inside your cab called Flickr. And it’s free! You can take pictures in your travels and send them at no cost to friends and family while on the road. And if you want to upgrade to Flickr Pro, it’s only $25 a year. Not bad for something you can send pictures through while on the road. It’s a great piece of software the Truck Driving Jobs.
According to Flickr.com’s web page, the way it works is that you upload the image, edit for red eye, play with the fonts, and do some cropping. (You can also use your camera phone.) Then organize your pictures into short tags for your own convenience and system. Then, here comes the good part, share your photos and videos for groups or one person. You can also share where your pictures or videos were taken through their mapping program. For birthdays or holidays, send cards with photos attached. You can even receive images for your own files. Cool, you think?
All you do to set up is to create an account and you are ready to upload photos. It’s a great program that allows you to tag your pictures with what ever you want to call them.
Flickr.com is also a social network that you can make friends on and share pictures with. Click on a contact’s name and you have a new friend. It’s that easy. Click on “Add Username”, choose if they are friend or family and Flickr.com sends your friend or family an invite.
Flickr.com is great for Truck Drivers just because truckers are on the road all the time. It’s a great way to stay in connect with those at home through photography. Go to www.Flickr.com to set yourself up. Make sure to take their tour and read the FAQ’s. It was a great help to me and made me appreciate the program even more.
